"The Church in the Wilderness" (Lent 2013)
From the center of town to the outskirts of society. The American Church has experienced some radical changes over the past 60 years. Many churchgoers have deep feelings of frustration, anxiety, and helplessness as we try to live out our faith. During Lent, we will journey with the Israelites through the wilderness, and hopefully catch a glimpse of hope in what God is doing during this "wilderness" time.
Easter Sunday March 31, 2013: "Old and New" John 20: 1-23

March 24, 2013: "Wilderness and Promised Land" Deuteronomy 8: 1-3, Luke 19: 28-44. The Wilderness draws us upward and inward.

March 17, 2013: "Inside and Outside" Numbers 22-24. In the Wilderness, we must know that God is working both inside and outside of his people.

March 10, 2013: " Unity and Trust" Numbers 21: 4-9. In the Wilderness, God's people must be united in the Truth.

March 3, 2013: "Fear and Faith" Numbers 13-14 In the Wilderness, fear must turn into faith.

February 24, 2013: "In the Wilderness, Story and Presence People". Numbers 9 Rooted in God's Story and Led by God's Presence.
