Psalms: the language of prayer
(Summer 2014)
How do you pray? When left to ourselves, we tend to turn prayer into a series of requests for things and people that immediately affect us. But what if prayer is really a doorway into the house of God, where our understanding of God's love and wisdom is meant to grow, and our hearts are intended to be shaped by the mind of Christ?
This is where the Psalms come in. As we explore a diverse collection of Psalms this Summer, we will learn to wrestle with life in the the presence of God; our view of God will expand, and our hearts will be shaped by our Creator.
