Lent is a season of honesty--honesty with God, with others, even with ourselves. It is a time to reconnect where things have been broken and to return from wherever we have gone astray. This Lent, we have a number of opportunities for you to participate in one of the most ancient Christian traditions as we take the Lenten Journey together. Check out some of them here:
Ash Wednesday: We will have a short service in the morning at 7am and a fuller (though not long!) service in the evening at 7pm. Why two services? Mostly so that Ash Wednesday will not just be a service you come to, but a chance to witness. As you walk through your day with ashes on your forehead, you may get questions. Great! You can remind people that God made us and God loves us just as we are! |
Trauma and Cross: Our worship theme will look at how trauma (big and small) impact us, how we live, what we fear, and what we believe about ourselves and God. And then we’ll ask, “What does it mean to have a symbol of trauma at the heart of our faith?” Hopefully this series be part of your own liberation into the fullness of the life Christ has for you! |
